Pine City has much to offer in recreational activities. Whether you enjoy hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, biking, or golfing, the opportunities are endless. Pokegama Lake, Cross Lake and the Snake River offer the chance for fishing, boating, canoing, swimming or just relaxing. Chengwatana State Forest and the Snake River State Campground surround you in natural beauty.

During the summer, the Pine City Arts Council sponsors numerous activities including Art in the Park. These free concerts are held Friday evenings in Robinson Park.

The local county fair runs the first week in August and includes many activities including a parade on Saturday evening. The parade is filled with floats from local area businesses as well as several marching bands. One of the largest draws it the Derby, which is held on both Friday and Saturday night of the fair.
